Et là, je regarde mon HTC Desire Z comme étant une brique préhistorique avec Gingerbeard 2.3.3 en parcourant tout le topic .

Par contre, est-ce que n'importe quel appareil sous Jelly Beam fonctionnerait avec l'USB Host (ou un OTG) ? Genre, le Wiko Cink Slim sous ICS ? J'ai du mal à savoir si c'est applicable à n'importe quel appareil ou si ça reste spécifique à ce monstre hors de prix de SG III/SG Note II ?

L’USB audio annoncé lors de la présentation Jelly Bean de Google est spécifique : le smartphone ou tablette Android compatible doit se comporter comme un périphérique USB ou USB peripheral lors de la session d’interfonctionnement avec un DAC USB spécifique Android.



Aucun DAC USB spécifique Android n'est disponible à ce jour.


Le logiciel USB Audio Recorder PRO permet à d'autres appareils Android (à partir de 3.1) que les Galaxy S3 / Note2 de fonctionner avec des DAC USB standards.

J'apprécie ton combat et les nouvelles que tu donnes, mais ça a tendance à tourner inlassablement autour du SGSIII ... Des nouvelles quand à l'implémentation de l'usb audio dans la version AOSP et dans une majorité de terminaux, ou cette bataille est perdue ?

L’émergence d'un protocole certes ouvert, mais totalement redondant avec un USB audio facilement implémentable dans un O/S a base linux constitue plutôt une défaite pour l’interopérabilité des périphériques

Les nouvelles du front sont plutôt très bonnes avec l’arrivée de l’application USB Audio Recorder PRO.
Cette application de lecteur audio intègre la fonction USB audio et communique avec le gestionnaire USB du noyau Linux Android via l’interface standard libusb (i.e. pas besoin de rooter Android)

ce qui permet à tous les appareils Android disposant de la fonction USB host fonctionnelle d’inter-opérer avec les DAC USB standard.

Dans un Galaxy S3 / Note2, le gestionnaire ALSA USB audio se trouve dans le noyau Linux.
A l’heure actuelle, les applications de lecteur audio classiques comme Neutron Media Player ou PowerAmp doivent s’interfacer avec ALSA USB audio via une super interface Android ou infrastructure audio Android intégrant mixage audio uniquement à 16 bits / 44 100 Hz.

Les développeurs de lecteur audio peuvent très bien s’inspirer de l’application USB Audio Recorder PRO et du code source du logiciel libre Linux ALSA USB audio (i.e. on n'a que faire de la décision de Google ou des constructeurs d'appareils Android d'implémenter ou non l'USB audio).
On peut s’attendre à l’arrivée prochaine des lecteurs audio audiophiles comme Amarra ou Audirvana dans l’environnement Mac OS.

Comme le Galaxy S III à base de puce Exynos, le Galaxy Note II à base de la même puce Exynos peut fonctionner avec l’iBasso D12, l’ODAC, ... , et a surtout quelque difficulté de fonctionnement avec le HeadAmp Pico.
Probablement, le Galaxy Note II et le Galaxy S III pourraient fonctionner avec les mêmes USB DAC.

Apparemment le HifiMeDiy Sabre USB DAC a quelques problèmes avec l'USB audio dans le noyau Linux du Galaxy S3 :

pouvez vous me donnez un lien ou je peux acheter un cable qui peut relier mon note 2 a mon fiio E7.
Autre qu un adaptateur micro usb vers usb. Pour eviter une perte de qualite sonore.

Un petit DAC trouvé en zonant sur head-fi. Je ne sais pas ce qu'il vaut (je retournerai lire le topic head-fi quand j'aurai le temps) mais à 17,89 $ fdpex ... Qui sait ?
